Chaya Pamula Graduates GS10KSB

Philadelphia, PA – Chaya Pamula has been guiding PamTen’s growth since she and Prasad Tenjerla founded the company 10 years ago. She currently serves as President and CEO. She can now add Graduate of the Goldman Saks 10,000 Small Business program to her list of accomplishments.

The GS10KSB program is a demanding educational experience. Besides stewarding PamTen’s business, Chaya is also the Founder and Director of SOFKIN (Support Organization for Kids in Need), a non-profit organization that provides a safe, nurturing home for over 50 destitute children in India.

“Prior to attending the program I had my own apprehensions about the value I may get for the level of commitment needed. But I was wrong.” Ms. Pamula commented. “This program gave me the structure, discipline, right tools and a focused approach in identifying my business opportunities to scale up my business in the coming years.”

Goldman Sachs has invested $500 million into the 10,000 Small Businesses program. The education program was designed by Babson College, the nations’ top-ranked entrepreneurship school. The GS10KSB was developed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing them with greater access to education, financial capital, and business support services.  There are programs in 19 cities across the US. Ms. Pamula attended the program at Philadelphia Community College in Philadelphia, PA.

The 10,000 Small Businesses curriculum focuses on practical business skills that can immediately be applied by small business owners, including negotiation, marketing and employee management. The program is very challenging, both in the class work that is required, and the in-depth introspection participants need to take with their current business plans and operation. Thousands of business owners apply each year, but only 20 or so are selected for each cohort. The program opens up an exciting and thriving GS10KSB Alumni network of entrepreneurs, determined to see each other through to success.

It was an eye opening experience for PamTen as well. The entire company is exciting about the energy this program has given to the CEO.  Ms. Pamula added, “I was part lucky Cohort 13, a group of highly talented and successful entrepreneurs, more over amazing individuals! Special thanks to our faculty and business advisors! I am already executing my growth plan and can't wait to share my success in the coming days!”
