Princeton, NJ – Chaya Pamula, President and CEO of PamTen, Inc., received a Women of Achievement Award from The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Women In Business Association (WIBA).

Chaya was recognized as a technologist, philanthropist, a visionary, mentor, entrepreneur and above all a passionate human being.  She is the founder of SOFKIN (Support Organization for Kids in Need), an NGO that is currently supporting over 100 destitute and underprivileged children in India.  Additionally, Chaya is the Founder of the Global Women’s League, a networking organization that creates a platform to inspire, influence and empower women and she holds an MBA and an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard University.

During her presentation, Chaya explained that she co-founded PamTen because “I was looking for a certain freedom. I enjoyed my work, but I also wanted the freedom to follow one of my deepest passions – to help children and women in India that were in dire circumstances. Having my own company would give me the freedom to build and grow the NGO I founded – Support Organization for Kids in Need (SOFKIN). I would also be able to continually contribute to the growth of SOFKIN through the company. By establishing PamTen, I could use my skills and talents by blending in the goal to support SOFKIN into our company mission statement.  Through PamTen, I was also able to create a platform for the children of SOFKIN. As they grow they can have internships and expanded business learning opportunities through PamTen.”

The passion to help is seen throughout PamTen. All of employees feel there is a greater purpose to working with PamTen – not just creating and serving our customers, but in helping create better lives for children in need.

“It is an honor to receive this award, and be part of this prestigious group of women,” Chaya noted.

This was the 4th Women of Achievement Awards presented by the Princeton Chamber of Commerce. Also receiving awards were Paula Harrington, founder of ABS in Trenton; Kim Hanemann,  Senior Vice President of Delivery Projects and Construction at PSE&G; and Reza Green, Vice President of Intellectual Property at Novo Nordisk.
