Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards.
  • Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
  • Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
  • Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
  • Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
  • Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
  • Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
  • Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
  • Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls.
  • Working closely with IT Support by monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved and need to monitor and deploy/install security patches on user devices.
  • Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
  • Should have experience on Web Server Administration
  • Must have Experience on MS 365 Administration and Support
  • Experience on Azure Administration is added Advantage
  • Experience on Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services
  • Must have Azure Administrator Certification (103 or its equivalent)
  • Manage to host environment inclusive of web servers, VMWare, Citrix, database servers, Cisco, SAN, Blades etc to ensure apt tuning plus capacity.
  • Experience on WordPress Administration (Code & DB Deployments, Backups and Restores)
  • Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers.
  • Maintain timely backup of important data/ logs and management resources to ensure the solution is of acceptable quality to maintain client satisfaction
  • Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
  • Created, maintained, and updated Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for various systems/LANs. Coordinated with ISSOs for mitigating vulnerabilities included in the POA&M.
  • Proven ability to work in a cloud based or hosting environment.
  • Should have complete knowledge on platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP and proficient in one or more computer scripting languages such as JavaScript or Perl.
  • Set-up process, services and tools around cloud; leverage appropriate AWS services.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field of study.
  • An analytical mind and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Expertise in network design, implementation, hardware configuration, performance tuning and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge in Cyber Security.
  • Tracking budget expenses.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A self-learner who can work independently and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.
