A focused group of 10 individuals recently completed the premier course of PamTen’s Cyber Security Training. With this program, created and presented in conjunction with InfoRisk, students and professionals took their first steps in becoming certified in Cyber Security.
Cyber Security is an essential element for businesses in today’s digital world. The class provided the knowledge and skills needed for basic information, data risk assessment, and protection for business enterprise environments. The highly interactive program had 100% attendance throughout the four days.
Students agreed that the course was well organized and a great learning experience. “The enthusiasm and energy was great and kept the class lively for all four days while keeping the interest and attention of the class,” commented one student.
“The live examples made us realize how cyber security fits in to the real industry,” stated another.
The participants eligibility for certification comes after gaining further hands on experience. Additionally, Prasad Tenjerla, PamTen COO and Cyber Security instructor, stated, “PamTen is confident that we can find jobs for these people with a minimum salary of $75K once they complete their project work (assignments).”
The program included topics such as Cyber Crimes, Cyber Breaches, Risk Assessment, Cybersecurity Frameworks (NIST, ISO27K), IT Security policy, Inventory Management, Cryptography, GRC, Physical and Logical security, BCP &DR, IT Audit, Cloud security amongst other controls. Trainees learn how to implement network security solutions and detect intrusions, Authentication protocols and techniques, as well as how to implement and utilize cyber security skills in the real world.
