“Urban Forest Parks” App Launched by Telangana Forest Ministry

PamTen Develops One-of-a-kind App to Explore Parks and Forests 

January 2022 – Forest Minister Sri Allola Indrakaran Reddy, along with PamTen Inc., a certified Minority Women Owned IT Service and Staffing Provider with offices around the world, has launched the first of its kind mobile app “Urban Forest Parks” in the State of Telegana, India.

This exclusive mobile app provides detailed information about theme based Urban Forest Parks which allows visitors to explore local forest park destinations and plan their visits. This first of its kind app in India, discloses information pertaining to 39 parks developed under HMDA, Medchal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad limits of the 109 Forest parks in the state. UFP will not only provide the required open spaces to the cities and towns but also contribute to the growth of smart, clean, green, sustainable, and healthy cities in the state. The app holistically spreads awareness about the objectives of the UFP to:

  • Provide complete protection to the forest land.
  • Conserve the local biodiversity.
  • Develop the forest inside the park.
  • Provide recreational and educational opportunity to local people.
  • Help conserve the water in the locality.
  • Provide the required open spaces and relief to the people.
  • Reduce environmental pollution.
  • Increase greenery in the area.

The Minister has said the App would be very useful for all those who look for information about the nearest urban parks and forest area in their vicinity.

The app provides details about the parks, including entry fees, special features of the park, hiking routes, distance from the app user, and more. This will help the visitors plan their visits to the parks efficiently and have a good time, said the Minister.

The Urban Forest Parks app has been developed by PamTen Software Solutions Private Limited. The app discloses information pertaining to 39 parks developed under HMDA, Medchal, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad limits. In the second phase of the app’s release, information pertaining to all other parks across the State will be incorporated.
